While most men half his age may not be able to complete even the length of a swimming pool 52 years young Mr Martin Strel was able to swim the Amazon river! It was reported that the Slovenian took 65 days to finish the 3272 miles swim, braving the elements, including the famed piranha of the Amazon .Defying even his doctor who advised him to stop! Mr Strel proved that age is but a number and if you keep yourself in top physical condition there is no mountain too high or river too long!

For me? I am happy that I can now walk at least for 30 minutes. One step at a time.
